The Consciousness Series: Like a Dream

The Flower of Life is a name for a geometrical figure composed of seven or more evenly-spaced, overlapping circles. This figure, used as a decorative motif since ancient times, forms a flower-like pattern with the symmetrical structure of a hexagon.

The perfect form, proportion and harmony of the flower of life has been known to philosophers, architects and artist around the world, including Leonardo da Vinci.

One interesting feature of the Flower of Life is that evidence of its importance can be found in almost every major culture around the world. It can be seen in temples within the Forbidden City of China, synagogues in Israel, in the Buddhist temples of India and Japan, in the City of Ephesus in Turkey, carved into rock in Assyria, in Italian art from the 13th century, the Temple of Osiris in Abydos, Egypt and in the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, Spain originally dedicated to Saint Vincent.

  1. I love this series. It is so in touch with the real world. You are incredibly talented.

Dream catchers hold special places in Indian lore. You must create it yourself, it must have certain elements. All designed to prevent evil spirits from getting to you!

    1. Thank you so much Jay!!! My reasoning for doing this series is to help raise awareness on global issues and wake people up, rather than staying fixated on meaningless information, like what dress this celebrity is wearing or who that celebrity is dating.

Are dream catchers easy to make? I have two above my bed but I didn't make them. All I know is that it traps the nightmares in the web, while the good dreams pass through the center...and once the sunshine illuminates your bedroom the following morning, the sun destroys the dreams that were trapped overnight. Quite fascinating!

    2. I just know that there are meanings to the patterns, and the fetishes, and decorations should be tied to the person. They have meanings that help differeniate between the good and the bad dream spirits. I'm no expert, but I remember this from an Indian seminar on spiritual "goods" and their meanings in the context of "touristy" things versus the ones made individually for a person by themselves or a craftsmen who understand the various meanings.
