Dudes and Gals!, I feel like a total badass! You know that feeling you get inside when you FINALLY achieve something you’ve been working your ass off to obtain. Well, I had that moment as I was leaving Publix yesterday and stepped onto the scale. When that little dial spun around and stopped at 160, I nearly screamed.
I don’t say this enough, but I am so proud of myself. I’ve had serious issues with gaining weight my entire life and it’s magical to finally see results. I’m finally doing something right for once. Seeing a new muscle that you never saw before is so awesome.
The first picture was me in June at 140 lbs. Gained 20
pounds in roughly 10 months. I still have a long ways to go, but so happy with
the progress I’m making. My initial goal is 165 but I’ll reevaluate once I get
there. The hard work and change in diet is paying off.
Congrats! I know how hard it is to keep a constant weight. took me forever to gain weight to about 180, I'm 6'2.
ReplyDeleteThanks man!I know exactly what you mean. Unless we eat like cows, the weight just sheds off. Are you still trying to bulk or maintain at 180?
DeleteCongrats! I came across your blog through Icarusalways blog link and great transformation. From the pics you even look happier and new haircut works too.
ReplyDeleteAll the best!
Thanks for stumbling onto my blog and leaving a comment, I really appreciate that! I'm not sure why I failed to realize how awful my hair looked back then. haha I am much happier now :)Do you have a blog?
DeleteDude, congrats! I bet its so nice to finally see the results when so much work has gone into it. Im still stuck at 145, despite my attempts to add some muscle. I'm pretty sure my body just rejects the new muscle; it says "No!"
ReplyDeleteAnyways, congrats again, and keep it up!!!

Thanks man!! I was stuck in the 140's for so long. What I started doing was lifting heavy, shorter reps. I take a scoop of Creatine with my protein powder Syntha-6 following my workout. (you can buy both of the supplements for pretty cheap off vitacost.com) And I downloaded a free app on my phone called iDrated which tracks your water intake for the day which is doing wonders because you have to drink a lot of water with creatine. You can do it dude, just put your mind to it and you'll start to see your body changing! Get that body of yours to start saying YES haha
DeleteSo I've been doing little things here and there, but I finally buckled down and got a kickboxing bag. I'm gonna look up some of the workouts MMA fighters do and try them. I saw a picture of when I visited my guy friend last summer and I was definitely "cut". So I gotta do a two-fold approach, reduce the fat I've slowly put on and increase the muscle size. Everyone at the camps I've worked at used to say I was "jacked" (which is funny cause my name is Jack) but I was never quite buff enough for my liking. Hopefully after these workouts I'll be able to show some before and after pictures. At the very least I wanna get back to looking like my pic from last year! Hope all is well!
Deletewow 20 pounds, congrats! I need to be more consistent with my workouts. It's seriously a great feeling seeing results though.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Consistency is key. Even if you only workout for 30 minutes, anything is better than nothing! Seeing results is so motivating to keep trucking forward!
DeleteWith your new buff bod, you have to change your name. You definitely are NOT average. :-)
ReplyDeletehaha thanks man :) do you have any suggestions?
DeleteLookin good there.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work. I'm a head football coach at a new school so none of my players have been through a work out program before. It's fun to see them improve and get stronger as they work hard. Glad you're seein it to!
ReplyDeleteNot even sure how I landed on your blog. Great photo of your accomplishment. Very encouraging to see!
