I MET A GUY OFF INSTAGRAM

YOOOO! I hope you all had a relaxing holiday, filled with family, friends, laughter and some much needed time off from work/school. Mine sure was. I did a lot of painting, eating, tanning and mental preparation for this semester. I'm taking Figurative Painting, Painting/Drawing Research, Senior Portfolio, Portraiture Painting, Sequential Art/Comics, and Romanesque Art and Architecture. I'm really only excited about Painting/Drawing Research because I heard this Professor has a gift for pinpointing each student's style and hones their potential. Work your magic on me girl!

I drank a super smoothie every damn day, aren't you proud of me? You got to try it, it'll rock your socks. It consists of an apple, half a banana, an orange, organic cranberry juice (not that cocktail shit) and a variety of frozen fruit (I use mango, papaya, pineapple and strawberries). After a month of drinking one every morning, my skin, teeth, hair and literally everything about me feels and looks more radiant. Someone call Vogue. Eat healthy people, it’s so worth it.

And drumroll please!

I FINALLY HAVE GUY NEWS! Let's get into it, shall we?
A guy commented on an Instagram picture I had put up earlier in the week of me and my cat. (Anyone who’s unfamiliar with Instagram, stop living under a rock). After conversing on the app for a few days, we connected via Facebook. I cant even begin to explain how random and coincidental the timing of this guy entering my life was, because I was just talking about wanting to meet a guy. I enjoy talking to him and we’ve been texting everyday which is cool. He makes me laugh and meets most of my standards. I'm a SUCKER for guys with bright green or blue eyes and he's got crystal blues.
…However, I’m not taking it seriously. Haha Even though a guy walked into my life literally minutes after wishing for one, he and I live 5 hours away, so realistically, we’ll probably be nothing more than texting buddies. Or will we? Nonetheless, I’m enjoying the conversations and getting to know him. I know he came into my life for a reason to teach me something.
Much Love Guys!

  2. Don't get your hopes too high, just play it cool and let it develop naturally, don't try to force things. Plus you have lots of time to learn more about yourself and the kind of guy you really want to be with.

  3. Hi, I don't really follow your blog or know you at all, but I stumbled upon this while writing my own and, I have a question I just must ask you.
How can you believe in God, if according to the Bible you are condemned to hell? I'm not trying to be obnoxious or anything, just trying to understand.

P.S: love the songs you've put up on your last posts!

    1. Hey, Jay!

In my opinion, God is not against being gay--although it might seem like He is because of what the Bible says. Here's how I reconcile the two seemingly contradictory statements:

      (1) The current composition of the Bible was decided by people like us. Although they're religious people, they're still people; hence, just like laymen, they're prone to making mistakes, i.e. in interpreting God's Word, and in making value judgments that are not necessarily reflective of God's intentions.

      (2) The authors of the Scriptures wrote for a particular audience and a particular time. This is why I don't think that the words of the Bible should be taken at face value. If we're going to transplant its lessons to the present, we have to consider context, and not lose sight of the ultimate truth: God loves us all.

      (3) The Christian Bible is comprised of two major books: the Old and the New. Frankly, I focus more on what the latter has to say. The New Testament tells us of a God who loves His children equally. I'd rather dwell on this message than on those parts that portray women as below men; that treat being gay as an awful sin; etc.

Hateful Christians are a dying breed. Let's not worry too much about them. Hehe... :)

  4. fan of casey: I have zero expectations! You know what happened the last time I went out looking for love. So for now I am focusing on myself and not rushing into anthing. I have so much more to learn about myself and I know love is something I'm ready for yet anyways. But it's still exciting to talk to guys lol

Jay: Hey man! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog. It's always cool to meet new people. I believe in God because my life has completely changed for the better, once I started putting an effort into having a relationship with Him. I don't beleive I'm going to be condemned to Hell for being gay. Do you? Who has time to worry about that. I know God loves us the way we are. The more I pray, the more I trust God and know everything is going to be okay once I pass. :) Hope that helped and glad you like the music!

    1. Hi! Thanks for the reply, didn't think you would honestly.
Well, there are some christians, I daresay the majority of them, who would say being gay is a sin and that we will burn in hell for it, referencing the Bible and so.

To each its own, I don't really believe in religion as a whole, but I'm not against it either, everybody is entitled to their own beliefs and I respect that.

It'd be cool if there more christians like you though, that focus on the love part of the message of God.

  5. hey man so this is totally random, but your family's really good-looking! and they look really friendly too haha. (and i mean all that in the most objective and non-creepy sense) and that sushi boat looks amazing. i'm a new reader by the way, and i've enjoyed reading your blog. it's very earnest and i can relate pretty well which is pretty sick. and i echo a lil of jay's sentiment, but then again there really are a lot more welcoming and accepting christians nowadays, so it's not surprising that you've managed to balance both religion and your acceptance of your sexuality pretty well so far.

anyhow hopefully you'd keep posting so i (and the rest) would stay updated. peace.

  7. I'm a reader and I have stumbled across your page. As a morally equipped person,I tend to hold values to their decree. As someone has mentioned, and I couldn't seem to agree more, that you are in fact condemned to hell. You're like other people who sin unnaturally, yet feel like they are worthy of conversing amongst people of God. I'm not a "hater of gays" but I think its a fitting-in title that grew to people's attachment to their liking.you probably was that kid that other kids seem to be drawn to you like a magnet.maybe you were not....but outgrowing something that you claim is a tough and challenging ordeal. You seem to know your Bible, and you have the potential to let that old self go.I know you've thought it countless times......but you can't seem to shake it off.probably because you don't want to say to yourself'im a sinner,I shall read the Bible and learn the scriptures to know how to react and deal in life.' The fact that you are a gay man but don't have sex with any men shows that you have very strong will power. I knew someone like you, probably loved their parents enough to not publicly come out and say their sexual orientation, took to heart the preventive methods to sexual activities, and so on.
