Drawings For My Counselor

My counselor Lauren is seriously THE SHIT! I love her so much! I'm so happy I mustered up enough courage to go to the counseling center last semester because she is helping me so much. If you're in college and you have access to a counseling center, I really recommend you check it out! I told my counselor how much I love to draw one week, so the following Friday, she gave me a challenge to draw two pictures for her...

The first drawing assignment was How I See Myself

The second drawing assignment was My Ideal Self

  1. AGD: The "How I See Myself" has some disturbing images -- that you did not seek help earlier is upsetting because some of these things could have been dispelled sooner, and you would not have had to suffer as much as you did. You did fool a lot of people with your outward appearances.

"My Ideal Self" thankfully shows that you saw (see?) that the world could change and your life transformed. You could channel your energies towards accepting yourself and helping others. How remarkable is that? Awesome!

So what was your counselor's reaction to these insights into your mind? Have you shown these to your parents? I'm really curious because they seem to have little clue of the turmoil within you. If I were them, I would wonder why you did not share this burden earlier. But based on your last post, they are making up for lost time by being your champions.

  3. Just came across your blog for the first time, and I have been reading it for over 3 hours now, and it is 6 oclock in the morning now.

So here goes, I wanna say Thank You, what you have gone through and written here has saved me from what I have been planning to do recently.

Almost every emotions that you have gone through, just hit home. If it is alright with you, I would love to talk to you more, in private? email or messenger?

P.S. do you mind to tell what does 30th of June 2010 mean to you?

    cheers

  5. Awww, Theodore! I'm glad you found AGD's blog. Having been nearly suicidal on numerous occasions, let me tell you that the great big world is MUCH better with you in it!

And let's give a standing-O to AGD for so eloquently pouring his heart out to us with candor and grace. Truly remarkable and admirable.

Life is rarely easy, but just often enough we find people who make it worth the struggle.
